Schlitz Audubon Nature Center

The Smallest Owl

Follow the journey of our very own Willow, the Northern Saw-whet Owl, and how she came to live at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center as an educational ambassador. After her discovery as an injured bird in the Shorewood neighborhood of Milwaukee, Willow’s care and journey back to health was a collaborative effort and testament to the caring residents of our community.

This paperback book was illustrated and written by Raptor Program staff to teach children about the unique adaptations of owls, their importance to the ecosystems we share, and what to do if you ever find injured wildlife.
